Greetings necro brothers and sisters. Our esteemed SOE Rep Hasium posted on the Vanguard Players site his Milestone # 1 Update. This is their checklist of whatrthey completed out of the items they had committed to fix / create in their first stage of fixing the game.... have a read for yourself and judge it as you may. "Milestone 1 Wrap up Hey Everybody, Here is the long awaited Milestone 1 wrap-up. Overall we made some pretty good progress. It was our first time with our new scheduling process and while we had a few hiccups, most things worked out fairly well. We will continue to tune the process to become more efficient as well as getting the post Milestones goals out to the community sooner than we did this time. Some of these features will be included in game Update 2. The contents for Game Update 2 will be announced as soon as it’s pushed to QA. Hasium Vanguard’s Milestone 1 goals. - Performance / optimization increases - Fix bugs - Raid content - Finish features that were almost complete before the SOE acquisition occurred. Design Bug Team - Approximately 800 bugs from typos to broken quests were fixed. Many more were re-assigned to Programming. Guess what Programming is working on next. Content Team - Raid content for Ancient Port Warehouse o Completed population on the following three wings: § Entry Wing § Vault Wing § Cartheon Wing o Lore and Quests § The back story is complete and basic quest and diplomacy planning exists. o Diplomacy § Population planning is done and implementation is ready to go. o Rewards § Planning has been done and is awaiting iteration and approval. o Misc. § ‘Riftway’ portals throughout the dungeon are completed. o Time was spent testing and tuning all available NPC ability sets Diplomacy Team - Diplomacy was successfully converted over to level based. - Work on House quests and tier 4 clothing is continuing into Milestone 2. Crafting Team - Guildhall quests are finished and they will be included in Game Update 2. Programming - Fixing memory leaks o This is ongoing and will continue into Milestone 2 - Fixing bugs that cause CTD’s / client memory issues. o There were a couple of significant fixes that was patched to Live on July 05. - Fix the last remaining bugs for Brotherhoods o All fixed up. - Raid UI and tools support o We completed the initial raid UI and tools for creating raids and quests. Work will continue into Milestone 2 - A more intuitive LFG tool with better functionality o This has been completed and will be part of the next Game Update. - Rest exp. o This has been completed and will be in the next Game Update - Changing Diplomacy from skill based to level based. Finished o This has been completed and will be in the next Game Update Art Environment Team - Trial Island o Most of the basic land area has been created. o Most of the assets have been optimized and placement has started under the watchful eye of Design. Character Team - All the humanoid NPC’s that are used in starting villages have been optimized and are ready for design to place. - One new armor set has been completed for a yet to be named raid dungeon."
